Guidance for reading, navigating, and using this website with different devices and assistive technologies.

Reading & navigation

Pages have descriptive titles, a logical heading structure, and named navigation landmarks. The “Skip to main content” link takes you past the navigation. Content is available as HTML without requiring JavaScript.

Using the keyboard

Use Tab and Shift + Tab to move between links and controls, and Enter to follow a link. Buttons work with Enter or Space.

On smaller screens, the Menu button expands navigation. Escape closes it and returns focus to the button.

Finding a book

The catalogue provides category buttons and a labelled search field. The result count is announced to screen readers. With JavaScript disabled, all ten books remain available.

Display preferences

The layout adapts to smaller screens and enlarged text. It respects reduced motion settings and includes Windows high contrast styling. Images have alternative text where they convey information.

External services

Bookshops, publisher websites, Intellepedia, LinkedIn, and Google Forms are external services. Their accessibility may differ from this website.

Accessibility feedback

If you encounter a barrier, please use the enquiry form (opens in a new tab). Include the page address, what you were trying to do, and your browser or assistive technology if known.
